After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and while enrolled in a Master of Public Administration program, Eula worked in the Detroit Mayor’s office, where she evaluated and automated various systems in city departments. The analytical skills and methodical approach she developed served her well as she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and later when she embarked upon her legal career.
Eula’s curiosity and ability to focus on the law and facts in each matter makes her an effective advocate at all stages of litigation. She understands that cases can be won or lost during discovery and pre-trial motion practice, and her attention to the written word has regularly produced favorable outcomes. Eula is also at ease in the courtroom, which has led to impressive victories in a variety of disputes involving the defense of auto negligence, personal injury, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, employment, and civil rights claims.
Respect and diversity in the practice of law are particularly important to Eula. Aggressive, compassionate, and always committed to her clients’ goals, Eula has a reputation for professionalism and demands the same from opposing counsel. She is also dedicated to a diverse and inclusive bench and bar, and she helps guide tomorrow’s lawyers as a mentor and judge at high school and law school mock trial and moot court competitions.
Outside the office, Eula has a passion for the well-being of animals, is a fan of classic mob and war movies, and can’t resist the opportunity to watch Patton or The Godfather.
