Florianne obtained her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor focusing on Women’s Studies: Gender, Race, and Ethnicity from the University of Michigan. Working as a local community leader and member of Alpha Phi Omega, she developed mentoring relationships with underprivileged students. She also studied French and is conversationally fluent.
Florianne has worked in the legal field for almost a decade. During her undergraduate years, Florianne worked as a legal intern at a prominent workers’ compensation defense firm in Ann Arbor and continued as a law clerk while at law school. She later acquired her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she also obtained a specialized certificate in environmental law. Among her other activities in law school, Florianne participated as a research and teaching assistant in Civil Procedure and Practice, Secretary in the Women’s Law Student Association, a participant of the professional law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, and Note and Comment Editor of The University of Toledo College of Law Review.
Florianne sought to deepen her legal experience and education, clerking for several firms that specialized in no-fault, real estate, family law, and social security disability matters. She also worked as an extern for the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in its Environmental Enforcement Section.
Florianne has had the fortunate opportunity to explore and learn different areas of law in both the private and public sectors. Given her diverse background, Florianne has experienced working on both sides in no-fault first- and third-party matters. She utilizes her legal knowledge, experience, and skill set to advocate for her clients and seek the best potential outcomes for them. She continues to grow and polish her research and writing skills with her published articles and remains informed on new developments with Michigan’s no-fault laws.
Florianne is an avid reader, an adventurous traveler, and a dedicated University of Michigan football fan.
