Before becoming an attorney, Eric investigated insurance fraud as a private investigator. He then transitioned to increasingly larger roles in the claims departments at Travelers Insurance and AAA of Michigan, directing investigations and handling multi-line insurance claims. After earning his Juris Doctor at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Eric began his law practice with AAA’s in-house legal department defending first- and third-party no-fault and homeowners insurance cases.
Eric then transitioned to private practice, first with a boutique litigation practice defending non-standard auto insurance carriers and later with a small general practice. He continued to develop his discovery, motion practice, trial, and appellate skills, amassing an impressive list of victories in both state and federal courts.
Outside the office, Eric is active in the Oakland County Bar Association and a Fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, a professional honor reserved for the top five percent of Oakland County lawyers who support the organization’s charitable efforts.
A proud and devoted family man, Eric coaches youth hockey and serves on the Board of Directors of the Livonia Hockey Association. He has visited more than 40 major league baseball stadiums – and counting – including many ballparks that are no longer standing. He has twice completed the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon and is training to complete the full marathon.
