Set on becoming an attorney from a young age, Tim first received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Finance, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan – Flint, where he served as Chief Justice of the Student Government Judicial Board and graduated at the top of his class, earning the prestigious Maize and Blue Award. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the Indiana University – Maurer School of Law on a merit scholarship, where he was Managing Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal before graduating, cum laude, in 2012.
After law school, Tim served as the law clerk for Judge John Gadola of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in Flint, where he honed his research and writing techniques and gained a thorough understanding of courtroom procedures and effective advocacy. He later entered private practice as an associate at two busy litigation firms before joining Zausmer, August & Caldwell in 2016.
When he’s not in the office, Tim enjoys kayaking, cooking regional American cuisine, and cheering for the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan Wolverines.
