Each matter is distinct, posing new challenges that require him to thoroughly investigate the facts and carefully assess the comparative strengths and weaknesses. John especially enjoys crafting and delivering effective arguments, whether on paper or in court.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, John gained broad experience in several fields of law before finding his niche in civil litigation. During his time with two esteemed civil defense firms in Louisville, Kentucky, he honed his discovery, research, and writing skills and defended a variety of automobile and property & casualty claims. He is proud of his track record of successful dispositive motions that short-circuited numerous lawsuits against the clients he represented.
John is excited to bring those same skills and abilities to Zausmer, August & Caldwell, joining the firm in February 2017 after relocating to his wife’s home state to take part in the renaissance of Detroit.
