The International Right of Way Association (IRWA) held is 63rd International Education Conference in June 2017 in Anchorage, Alaska. ZAC attorneys Mischa Boardman, Andrea Johnson, and Devin Sullivan attended the four-day event, mixing with clients, colleagues, and fellow industry experts.
Mischa and Devin were also featured speakers among the distinguished faculty. During their presentation – “From Legislation to Litigation: Michigan’s ‘Thumb Loop’ Transmission Line” – they delivered an overview of ITC’s Thumb-Loop Project, a double-circuit, 345 kV transmission line that spanned over 140 miles and 500 parcels, requiring the construction of four new substations.
IRWA is an organization comprised of global infrastructure real estate practitioners. Since its start in 1934, it has been comprised of professionals worldwide who acquire, manage, and transfer the land rights needed for building and maintaining energy and transportation infrastructure.
